Blog Book Tours
A blog book tour is simply your presence on a variety of blogs.
What is a Virtual Book Tour?
This presence could take many forms.
1. You could visit blogs that discuss topics relevant to your book. You participate in these discussions and talk about your book. (This is one of the easiest ways to get traffic to your website/book–talk to and discuss ideas with others).
2. You approach the writer of the blog and tell him/her that you have a book that is relevant to the blog topic and ask if the blog readers might be interested in a scheduled blog book tour, where you are available for a period of time; hours, days–to answer their questions about your book. This requires that you remain in touch with this blog during your blog book tour and ANSWER or RESPOND to all comments or questions made. Sometimes it also works to be a guest on the blog instead of doing a scheduled blog tour. Offer both options to the blog writer.
3. You could google blogs that review books and start investigating these blogs. You could then send via email or snail mail a chapter, table of contents, audio book (or whatever you have) to book reviewer of the blog. With this gift of your book, make sure to mention that you would be available for a blog book tour, to write a blog entry or anything else they might need.
