SHEILA ELLISON, is the bestselling author of ten books and nationally recognized speaker on successful parenting, women's growth and development, relationships and family fun. Her advice has been helping over a million parents creatively feed, play with and raise their children. Equipped with a B.A. in psychology from the University of Southern California and inspired by her children, she created and co-authored the '365' series of parenting books, including, 365 Games Babies Play, 365 Games Toddlers Play, 365 Days of Creative Play, 365 Afterschool Activities, 365 Foods Kids Love To Eat, and 365 Ways to Raise Confident Kids.  

 She is the author of The Courage to be a single Mother, Becoming Whole Again after Divorce, The Courage to Love Again, Relationships After Divorce, How Does She Do It? 101 Life lessons from One Mother to Another and she's the editor of If Women Ruled the World. Sheila has appeared on Oprah, the Later Today Show and CBS Early Show.

Her books and articles have been featured in O Magazine, Parenting, Family Circle, Glamour, Complete Woman, New York Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland Tribune and I've appeared as an expert on hundreds of radio shows across the country. She's the founder of SingleMomsConnect.com and CompleteMom.com–both are website communities that focus on supporting moms through every stage of their lives. She has two weekly podcasts; Ask Women Who Dare and Single MomsTalk. She continues to write, teach, coach and live in Northern California with her four children ages 23, 22, 19 and 17, her husband and two step children ages 23 and 19.

KAREN BOURIS has been in book publishing since 1987 working across many categories and wearing various hats, from marketing direction to editor, author to publisher. Most recently she was Publisher and Editorial Director at Inner Ocean Publishing, where she launched the New York Times bestselling political call-to-action series, debuting with MoveOn.org's 50 Ways to Love Your Country.

Previously, she was Marketing & Publicity Director at HarperSanFrancisco/HarperCollins, where she worked with Johnny Cash, Sidney Poitier, Huston Smith, and other bestselling authors in the religion, self-help and biography categories. Prior to this, she was Marketing Director at Sourcebooks and KQED Books & Video, where she helped establish a PBS-based book and video publishing division with PBS authors such as Jacques Pepin, Martin Yan, Mr. Rogers, and Helen Mirren.

She cut her publishing teeth at Conari Press, where she was part of the team that developed and marketed the bestselling Random Acts of Kindness series. In her spare time, she has authored two non-fiction titles, contributed articles and essays to numerous publications, and appeared on national television, radio, and in print. A graduate of UC Berkeley and Bay Area native, Karen currently lives in Maui with her two children.
